If you are looking to gain a recognised coaching and mentoring qualification you have come to the right place!

We deliver ILM qualifications, endorsed and development programmes.  So you can choose a coaching qualification that is right for you, the time commitment you can make and your budget.  We also provide ongoing support, training and supervision for coaches and mentors.

ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring

This is a comprehensive programme of coach and mentor education which takes approximately 12 months to complete. There are 3 assignments, each assessed and internally verified by the Resound team and externally verified by ILM. The assignments consist of:

  1. 5000-word essay to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the principles of coaching and mentoring.
  2. 12 hours of coaching and/or mentoring evidenced in a diary along with additional supporting materials.
  3. a reflective essay or recorded conversation demonstrating reflective practice.

Who is this programme for?

This programme is aimed at individuals with management responsibilities who will be using coaching and mentoring within their day-to-day role and as an internal coach and or mentor for their workplace.

How is the programme delivered?

We use a blended approach: providing the opportunity to attend 2 training days and access to online materials and video resources and discussions.

  • Reading and resources available via our online portal and by text books provided.
  • 2 face-to-face training days
  • Online discussions
  • Access to one to one support from one of our coach trainers via phone, email, skype and our 3D virtual world
  • Access to group supervision whilst delivering coaching hours

Endorsed Coaching and Mentoring Programme

This programme offers the same level of content as the ILM Certificate but requires evidence of 6 hours coaching and/or mentoring and completion of a reflective journal only, enabling learners to fit their learning around busy work and home lives and complete the programme within 6 months. Competence is assessed via the coaching diary and reflective journal. These assignments are assessed and internally verified by the Resound team and externally verified by ILM.

Who is this programme for?

This programme is aimed at individuals who will be using coaching and mentoring skills within their day-to-day role and as an internal coach and or mentor for their place of work. This programme is suitable for anyone working, with or without management responsibilities, and is ideal for learners who are looking to use these skills with their own staff.

  • 2 face to face training days
  • Online discussions
  • 1:1 support during delivery of coaching hours for assessment

Coaching and Mentoring Development Programme

An ideal introduction to coaching and mentoring with a focus on transferable skills.

  • 4 hours Pre-course reading will be required – text book provided and additional resources available online
  • 2 face-to-face contact days
